Thank you for reading my Flowerlogue on The Flower Scout! For the first time, I’ve introduced a paywall for everything beyond “Our Tips for a Fabulous Day”.

Your support helps me bring you even more exciting international flower travel stories! I truly appreciate you being here, and I hope you enjoy the recommendations from hubby G and me for the Chelsea Flower Show. If you you’ve just discovered this post and would like to subscribe, click here! Happy reading!

From last week’s post, you already know what the Chelsea Flower Show is all about. So this week, my Hubby G (as he likes to be called!) and I are both sharing our 30 must-do tips to help you make the most of your day at the world’s most prestigious flower event. If you are lucky enough to attend CFS once in your life, we want to make sure it’s absolutely unforgettable!

Hubby G and I each share from both our perspectives - what we did well, what we wish we hadn’t done, and what you absolutely must do to ensure you have the most enjoyable day possible. Plus, there’s a few tips on what to see close by while you’re in Chelsea.

We’ve been crazy fortunate to attend the last two Chelsea Flower Shows. My birthday just happens to fall right at the start of the event (lucky me!), and we’ve been in Europe on a work trip twice at the perfect time -so I consider it the ultimate birthday treat! This year, we’re hoping that one of Hubby G’s business trips will bring us back to Europe in May… and with a little luck, to CFS once again. Fingers crossed!

But first, a quick rundown of how the Show unfolds: The first day (Monday) is reserved for royalty, dignitaries, and the media. The next two days (Tuesday and Wednesday) are for members only, and then the Show opens to the public through to the end of Saturday.

I recommend visiting as early as possible, day and time of day - when the lawns are untrampled, every flower has just bloomed, vendors are full of enthusiasm, and floral artists eagerly await the judges’ results. There’s a special buzz in the air, with media swarming around to interview the winners and a few celebs making an appearance -it’s such an exciting time to be there!
